What's it for
Good as a final ‘trends stress-test’ for establishing what the business should stop, start and continue doing to unlock growth. Useful tool for wrapping up an entire innovation journey, but also can be used in isolation for strategic planning or confirming innovation territories. Can be done individually or as a smaller group exercise.
How to do it
Take a trend or sub-trend as a starting point, and discuss each traffic light column as a group:
RED column: What we need to STOP doing as a business to increase our relevance to this trend
AMBER column: What we should CONTINUE doing as a business to increase our relevance to this trend
GREEN column: What we need to ACCELERATE or INITIATE to increase our relevance to this trend
