Use in sessions with a cross-functional team – if splitting into smaller groups encourage representation from different functions in each. NB Can often lead to circling back to earlier stages of the innovation journey, to revisit concepts in light of business model innovation initiatives.

How to do it

Begin by filling the left hand column; how the business operates today

Explore as a group: the questions in the middle column – 4 ways of changing and innovating that model

Articulate in 2 or 3 bullet points what the business model would look like following those changes
